Hip Hop Dance Course for Improvers to Intermediates

Hip Hop dance is one of the most fun and expressive dance styles of the world. From the party dances, smooth grooves to body manipulation, there's something for everyone to enjoy within Hip Hop dance.

My name is Tiger, (yes that's my real name in case you're wondering :p) and I have been teaching and dancing Hip Hop dance for over a decade both in the UK and Internationally. I have and still work as a professional dancer and my love for dance in general stretches from London city to the moon!

I invite you to join my brand new 8 week Hip Hop dance course titled The Next Level (Winter Edition).

What should you expect? A progressive course that will be based on the foundations of Hip Hop dance plus developing your ability to isolate and manipulate your body to the music creating cool effects and increasing their ability to be one with the music. Using specific techniques as a tool to achieve this.

We are all unique individuals, and therefore, we all move differently from each other. I know from experience in trying a multitude of different dance styles that Hip Hop dance is one of the best dances to not only dance to its music's namesake (of course!) but also to feel free in one's body.

Expect everything to be broken down to a level you can understand. After all, my job is to help you grasp the movements and techniques I present. In fact, I find immense joy in helping others realise that they can dance better than they imagined, or that a small tweak here and there can completely transform the move or step they're working on, making it look cooler and feel more comfortable.

*Some prior dance experience is helpful. If you've taken a beginner hip hop dance course with me before, you will be totally fine to join this course

WHAT TO BRING

• Comfortable clothing:  For our dance classes, we encourage everyone to wear what they feel the most comfortable to move in. You can visit our Pineapple store opposite the studios and ask for advice from our staff, or can check out our online store where we have all the dance essentials you might need for your class. We have changing rooms and showers on location.
• Trainers: It's essential for this course that you wear flat shoes, trainers that you can move comfortably in.
• Water bottle: It's important to stay hydrated during your classes, so make sure you bring your water bottle. We have multiple water points in the building where you can have a refill. 

  

SCHEDULE

This Hip Hop course is 8 weeks long, with 1 class per week (8 classes all together). Each class is 60 minutes long hosted by myself at a lovely dance studio in Oval.

Age: I'm acutely aware some dancers are experienced at a young age. Most dancers on the course will be adults, but 11+ is fine, providing the year 11 to early teens dancer has a couple years dance experience at least, is totally fine :). Of course minors must come to the class with a parent, family member or legal guardian. There are sofas to sit on outside the studio.

ABOUT ME

I've been teaching in England and internationally since the mid-2000's.Tiger's main dance styles include Hip Hop, Chicago Footwork and Krump. His reputation as a highly knowledgeable dance teacher has brought him opportunities to teach, perform and choreograph around Europe and Asia.

As a Professional dancer, I have danced and performed in popular live TV shows such as Dancing on Ice and the 2023 Britain’s Got Talent winner’s live act. Central Cee’s “Dojo Cat” music video, Dizziee Rascal "Switch and Explode", Redbull, Men's Health Magazine, BBC, Sky 1 and more.
